Plants run better with Yokogawa differential pressure transmitters.

At it's heart, Yokogawa's Differential Pressure Transmitter with DPharp digital sensor offers the performance and device intelligence needed to get greater insight into your process.

Digital Performance

Yokogawa's DPharp digital sensor offers twice the performance and stability of the competitor's analog sensors. The DPharp uses the latest in IC Chip-style design and manufacturing technology. Analog sensors are based on older design technology. Although analog sensors are good, the modern DPharp sensor out performs them. A Yokogawa transmitter with DPharp digital sensor will give you the consistent, reliable, accurate measurement you need.

Poor Performance = Lost Money

Accuracy Under All Operating Conditions

Yokogawa's DPharp sensor has the ability to measure the differential pressure (DP), static pressure (SP), and sensor temperature from a single sensor. Giving these three pieces of process data, the EJA110E transmitter can compensate the DP measurement for Temperature Effect and Static Pressure Effect in real time. This is referred to as Dynamic Compensation and improves the DP measurement accuracy. Competitor's analog sensors can only measure DP and Sensor temperature. So, theirs can compensate for temperature Effect; but, since the SP measurement is missing, it cannot compensate for Static Pressure Effects.

Poor Performance = Lost Money

Stability Under All Operating Conditions

To some degree, all pressure sensors on the market provide stable measurement with variations in temperature and static pressure. But what happens when the sensor is over-pressured (pressure > sensor Upper Range Limit (URL)) - like occurs when a manifold is incorrectly sequenced during start-up or shutdown? Or a process upset? Analog sensors are actually damaged during these events requiring the transmitter to be recalibrated to return to accurate operation or even replaced. The EJA110E can withstand overpressure events up to 2,300 psi. Once it returns to normal operating pressure (pressure < URL of the sensor), the transmitter will return to operation within the defined accuracy and stability specifications - no need to recalibrate.  Basically, the Yokogawa DPharp sensor has a larger operational envelope compared to an analog sensor.

Poor Performance = Lost Money

More Information

Save up to 20% on CAPEX spending using the DPharp's multi-sensing capability. With our competitor's transmitters using analog sensors, any application that requires measurement of both differential pressure (DP) and static pressure (SP) requires two separate transmitters - one to measure the DP and one to measure the SP. Yokogawa's EJA110E transmitter with multi-sensing DPharp sensor, can measure both process variables (DP and SP) with a single transmitter. Two transmitters will always cost more than one transmitter.

More Information = Found Money.

Local Indicator

All of the process variable's measured by the EJA110E transmitter can be displayed on the easy to read local indicator. Unlike competitor's transmitters, the indicator is not driven off the 4 to 20 mA analog signal, but, exist on a seperate circuit. This allows the display to operate indiependantly from the output signal. This allows for the local display to indicate information that maybe more useful at the transmitter location.

More information = Found Money.

Standard Diagnostics

The EJA110E has 40 self-diagnostic checks to ensure that everything is running smoothly within the transmitter. But, all transmitters on the market have a level self-diagnostic checks. However, Yokogawa has two that are not offered by competitors. First, the transmitter features a patented Back-check Technology that reverse checks all calculations in real-time. Second, the DPharp sensor is an active sensor. This means that the sensor is constantly supplying a signal even when the process has not changed. If the signal is lost from the sensor, the transmitter knows there is an issue. Competitor's analog sensors are passive. They do not supply a continual signal, so, is the sensor still working when there is no signal?

Yokogawa pressure transmitters help plants run longer.

Yokogawa's DPharp active sensor, patented back check diagnostics, and rugged construction allow users to run their plants safer and with less downtime.

Rugged Construction

Ruggedly constructed pressure transmitter can help your plant reduce failures. Yokogawa pressure transmitter have construction features that are designed to allow it to outlive your plant. Four-bolt pressure retaining design, Teflon® coated 316L stainless steel flange gasket, and dual seal certified to ANSI/ISA 12.27.01 - all design features to extend the life of the transmitter.

Ruggedness = Reliability.

Over-pressure Protection

Yokogawa's DPharp pressure sensor has over-pressure protection from the simple robust design of the sensor itself. But, Yokogawa goes a step further and adds a mechanical system within the capsule to protect the transmitter from over pressure events. These events could be caused by anything from unexpected process surges to improperly sequenced manifolds.

Ruggedness = Reliability

Proven Technology

Starting with a clean sheet of paper, Yokogawa developed in the early 1990s a completely new pressure sensing technology - the DPharp sensor. Yokogawa made a large commitment of resources and money in its development. That dedication paid off and by early 2015, there are over 7 million installed Yokogawa transmitters and calibrators worldwide using this technology. The DPharp sensor is proven technology.

Less Downtime = Making Product.

Independent Verification

The Yokogawa EJA-E pressure transmitter series' performance and reliability has been verified by independent third parties from around the world. From Safety System SIL rating to general performance evaluations, the EJA-E series has met or surpassed every test that it has been given.

Less Downtime = Making Product.

Inherently Safe

All Yokogawa EJA-E series pressure transmitters are designed and certified to IEC61508:2010 Parts 1 through 7 and IEC61511:2004 Parts 1 through 3. They are certified for single transmitter use in SIL 2 safety applications and dual transmitter use in SIL 3 safety applications with no special option required. With Yokogawa EJA-E transmitters, no longer will you have to maintain two seperate inventories - one for production applications and one for safety applications. How much will that save your company? The certificates are available under the "Download" tab above.

Inherently Safe = Reliability.

For Yokogawa, safety is never an option.

Active Sensor Technology

The DPharp sensor is an active sensor. This means that the sensor is constantly supplying a signal even when the process has not changed. If the signal is lost from the sensor, the transmitter knows there is an issue. Competitor's analog sensors are passive. They do not supply a continual signal, so is the sensor still working when there is no signal? An active sensor is inherently safe.

Inherently Safe = Reliability.

Patented Self-check System

Yokogawa's EJA110E pressure transmitters as a patented real-time reverse check of the signal to ensure all calculations are preformed correctly. This system ensures that the transmitter is converting the signal from the sensor into the analog signal and digital protocol correctly.

Routine maintenance is easier with Yokogawa pressure transmitters.

Efficient and effective maintenance through extended calibration intervals and simple trouble shooting.

Extended Calibration Intervals

Yokogawa EJA-E series pressure transmitters have a long-term stability of ±0.1% per 7 years under all operational conditions. As you gain experience with these transmitters, you will be able to extend the time between calibration checks. Long-term this can help reduce your maintenance cost by up to 33%. Spend your time where it is needed.

Quicker maintenance = Less Downtime.

Multiple Communication Options

Yokogawa offers several platforms to communicate to your transmitter.

FieldMate is a PC based communication platform that can communicate with your transmitter and manage your entire instrument inventory.

FieldMate HHC is a traditional hand-held platform that allows you to take that information into the field.

Forgot your HHC? No problem. The LPS feature on the transmitter allows you to update 9 parameters without the use of an HHC.

Quicker Maintenance = Less Downtime

Simple Trouble Shooting

When your transmitter is 'alarming', you do not have the time to look for the manuals and go through them trying to figure out what is wrong; you need to get the transmitter up and operating again as quick as possible. Yokogawa EJA-E series transmitters have a simple description of the error code available on the local display. This simple description may help you correct the problem and get back to making product quickly. If you need more help, the manual does have a full description of all codes and suggest corrective actions.

Quicker Maintenance = Less Downtime.

Universal Mounting

Pressure transmitters on the market have several different flange configuration depending on the medium being measured (Gas or liquid). This requires plants that process both medium to maintain a stock of both types of configurations. Yokogawa's EJA110E offers a universal mount that can be configured to handle either Gas or Liquid; reducing your inventory of replacement transmitters.

High Inventory = Stagnant Money.

Safety As Standard
